Prince William stretches from I-95 in the east to I-66 and Route 29 in the west, with Manassas and Manassas Park sitting inside it as their own cities. We’ll take a call from anywhere in it. These towns have pages of their own:
- Gainesville, around Route 29 and Virginia Gateway
- Manassas, Old Town and Sudley Road
- Manassas Park, along Route 28 and Manassas Drive
- Woodbridge, including Dale City and Potomac Mills
Bristow, Haymarket and Dumfries are covered too. They just don’t have pages of their own.
Inspections and the 41 F rule
Restaurants, school kitchens and every other food business in the county are inspected by the Prince William Health District, part of the Virginia Department of Health. Virginia works from the FDA Food Code, so cold food has to be at 41 F or below, and the inspector checks that with a probe in the product itself. If your logs have started drifting up, our guide to reading your own temperature logs walks through what to look for.
East side and west side
Gas stations, convenience stores and restaurants are packed close together on the Route 1 and I-95 side, and their drink coolers and ice machines barely get a rest. The western half has more schools and daycares, plus churches whose kitchens might sit idle most of the week.
The failures don’t change much from one end to the other. Dirty condenser coils and split door gaskets are behind plenty of warm boxes, and so are drain lines that freeze up.
When you call, you’re talking to the same office that schedules the visit, so what you describe about the unit goes straight to the technician.
