The name NorthSide is a nod to Northern Virginia, and the service area stays inside it: Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William and Arlington, plus Alexandria. You can see the full list on the service areas page.
When you call
Calls come straight into our office. You’ll get asked what the equipment is, what the thermometer reads and what you’ve noticed, and you’ll leave the call with an arrival window. Our technicians do the work on site. What you tell us on the phone gets passed to the tech before they show up, so they know what they’re walking into.
Commercial work only
We don’t take home appliance calls. A walk-in with its condensing unit up on the roof, or an ice machine under a bar that runs all night, is built differently from a kitchen fridge at home. The parts and often the refrigerant are different, and so is the way they fail. It’s the only kind of equipment our techs work on. If your fridge at home quit, a residential appliance repair company is who you want.
The services page lists everything we do, broken down by equipment.
Prices, paperwork and old parts
Before any repair, the tech gives you a written price. If you say no, the only thing done is the diagnosis. Once you approve it, the tech makes the repair and checks that the box is pulling back down to temperature. The service report you get afterward shows what was found and what was replaced, and the old parts are yours if you ask.
Sometimes a unit is old enough that fixing it again is a real question. When that happens you’ll get the repair price and a replacement price side by side, and the call is yours. If a 20-year-old reach-in needs a compressor, you should at least see both numbers. There’s more on that in our repair or replace guide.
Trying us out
If you’d like to see how we work, a maintenance visit is an easy way to try us out on a day when nothing’s broken. Or just call us the next time something runs warm.
