Many of the places around One Loudoun, Loudoun Station and Ashburn Village opened in the last few years, and their equipment is just as new. That makes the first question after a breakdown a slightly odd one: who’s supposed to fix it?
Warranty coverage on newer units
Look at the data plate on the unit and dig out the purchase paperwork. If it’s still covered, the manufacturer may require one of its own authorized service companies, and having someone else open it up can cost you that coverage. Call the dealer or the manufacturer first. Compressor coverage often runs longer than the rest, so check that part separately.
Out of warranty, or the authorized company can’t come in time? Give us a call.
Opening a new place
If you’re building out a restaurant or market here, bring us in before the walls are finished. Where the condensing unit goes and how the walk-in drains are much easier to get right on paper than after the tile is down. A condensing unit jammed into a closet with no fresh air will run hot from day one, and a drain line laid nearly flat will back up and freeze, and neither one is cheap to move once the kitchen’s open. See installation and replacement.
Ashburn has lots of schools and daycares too, and their kitchens get inspected the same way a restaurant’s does. The schools and daycares page covers their equipment, and summer break, while the boxes are empty, is a convenient time for a maintenance visit.
