Gas station beverage coolers get opened constantly, so when one starts running warm, the doors are the first place to look. Before you call, it helps to check that:
- each door swings shut by itself and seals all the way around
- none of the gaskets are torn or flattened
- the condenser coil (usually on top or underneath) isn’t packed with dust
- nothing is stacked against the fan inside the box
If all of that looks fine and it’s still warm, it’s probably a fan motor or a refrigerant problem, and that’s a job for a tech. Our reach-in and glass-door repair page has more detail, and store owners might find the c-store and gas station page useful too.
Restaurants and grocers near Dulles Town Center
The restaurants and small grocers in Sterling run walk-ins and reach-in freezers along with their drink coolers. A reach-in freezer that keeps icing over usually has a door or gasket problem, or a defrost that isn’t kicking in.
The data centers out toward the airport use a kind of cooling we don’t work on. Our work is the refrigeration that holds food and drinks. If your business is on the airport side in Chantilly, that’s covered on our Chantilly page.
